Recap

The Hook Up Culture is a huge movement in today's day and age in which many young adults partake in.
When referring to this type of culture in society, it is talking about how people would rather have quick one night stands rather than having real commitment with someone.
This way, they do not have to worry about having any strings attached.
The question of whether people want to stay in this type of culture or go back to having real relationships vary.
A Michigan State student, Jose Gavina, gave his insight on what he wants for our society.
"Personally, I feel like we just need to get out of this Hook Up Culture. I'm more of a committed relationship kind of person. But then again, there really isn't a way to escape the Hook Up Culture since you can't control everyone," Gavina said.
Hooking up in general is a personal preference; they must know the possible risk factors going into it and then decide from there if they are willing to go through with it or not.

In today's society, the so-called "Hook Up Culture" is very prevalent among young adults, as opposed to actual commitment and label-based relationships.
This culture refers to casual sexual encounters every here and there, whether it be with someone random or not.
There are many reasons as to why many people may cater to this type of lifestyle rather than seeking out real connections from others.
However, it is known that males and females may be perceived differently in these circumstances a lot of the time.
An expert in sexual behavior, Dennis Martell, gave his insight as to why this may be.
"There has always been a double standard having to do with women compared to men who have multiple partners. Women are sometimes erroneously looked at as (not my words) 'sluts', whores, loose, while men are usually looked at as a player, stud, etc. Truly a double standard that should not exist," Martell said.
Since double standards regarding the Hook Up Culture are definitely very universal, what could be done to help judgments towards it?
